Shepherd Publishing were very proud to be asked to produce the souvenir programme for the Concorde 1066 event held in Battle this weekend, to commemorate the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.

Our congratulations to everyone involved in the organisation of the event, who all worked so hard to make the event such an enormous success.? Our thanks also for the very kind hospitality offered by the Ambassador to Denmark at the Danish Embassy.

We all had a wonderful time and as you can see, the boss of Shepherd Publishing even turned his hand to a little embroidery!? This is a memorable tapestry which, when finished, will tour Normandy and reside in Bayeux.

Shetland Classes at the Great Yorkshire Show
It is good to see that young people are involved in showing their animals at the Great Yorkshire Show. All members of the Klinger family, from Norfolk, were showing in the Shetland classes. Ciara aged 6 showed a Ewe Lamb, Caitlin aged 8 showed a Ram Lamb while Lukas showed in the 'Ewe 2 shear and over' class. Also showing was Amanda Cass 17, who was featured in a previous issue of Sheep Breeder. She won a 5th Prize in 'Ewe 2 shear and over' class and 6th in the 'Shearling Ewe' class, both classes with over 20 entries.
